In 2016, I received a life-saving bone marrow donation from a stranger. Now, I’m so excited to be helping put on a bone marrow donation drive at Boston City Hall.

We’re working every day to improve sidewalks across the city, making it safer and easier for everyone to get around.

Deputy Chief Julia Campbell walks us through the process of how sidewalks get repaired in Boston. If you see a sidewalk that needs work, let us know with @311.boston.gov.

We also finished piloting a school-bus-only street at the King Elementary School. By reducing congestion near the school, we explored opportunities to make arrival and dismissal smoother and safer.

Over the weekend, we hosted a block party to collect feedback about school commutes!

As Boston students get ready for the new school year, we talked to Dana Skelly, principal at the Higginson-Lewis School in Roxbury, about partnering with the Safe Routes to School team.

At Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Transportation First State of Mobility event w/ Chief of @jfh01.bsky.social, A Better City CEO Kate Dineen & Boston Chamber of Commerce President Jim Rooney to discuss the future of transportation in Boston — focused on safety, choice & reducing congestion!

On average it takes less than 1 day for a pothole reported to 311 to be filled by the Public Works Department.

PWD is working around the clock to address @311.boston.gov pothole cases as fast as possible.

If you spot a pothole, report it by calling 3-1-1 (617-635-4500) or with the BOS:311 app.
