I had this thought a day late, but that’s what made MLK so completely remarkable is that he had this singular focus on improving the lives of others instead of just enriching himself. On creating a fairer society rather than a less fair one.

To have doubt and to reflect is supposedly the trait of a good leader, but somehow it seems like the opposite characters consistently rise to positions of power and influence. Why is that?

They’re just humans with some agenda - some of them supposedly Christian, some of them obviously just out for themselves, some of them that seem driven basically by the need to inflict harm on others - but the thing they all have in common is how untouched by self-doubt they all are.

ex: I need a project and some Stuff in GCP, I know how to do this myself but we use terraform. There's no longer term value for me in learning tf, I just need this one off infra set up for me. My lack of tf is no longer a blocker to getting to the work I want to be doing.
