This time Lucy Burb is aging up, she got the grew up well memory and of course I didn't take any pictures of her as a teen, cause I forgot, so you're just gonna have to wait 'til next time she shows up! 😇

John Burb is a family sim and wants 10 children (easy thing to want, when you're not the one carrying them, Johnny 😒) so if we're even gonna TRY to make that happen, Jen and John needs to get moving. Anyway, here's the newest Burb; Olivia!

This is turning into a Lucy appreciation rotation, and I won't apologize for it. This girlie is such a gem, I love her already!

It makes me absolutely feral with all the little details and animations, I just sat in x1 speed and watched Lucy serve her lemonade to the neighbors. EVERYTHING IS ANIMATED! She even receives the money in her hand and PUTS IT IN THE PIGGYBANK with a little *clink*! 🥹

I'm not proud to admit this, but I was a full adult when I learned that Jennifer Burb is Daniel Pleasant's sister. As a kid, I never knew the bin families had ties to the actual town, and I don't recall ever really playing them, so this was a nice little first time playthrough of the Burbs for me!

Time for a quick suburban visit! Get it? Burb? The Sims 2 team was funny.

Lastly, I guess Mary-Sue made her final decision to stay in the relationship by autonomously (with help from ACR) woohooing with Daniel after the guests had left 🙄 I was SHOCKED, cause her relationship panel still showed her being angry with him, but alas dysfunctional couples are gonna dysfunc.

We get to end off this first Pleasant family rotation with Daniel's birthday 🥳 I just about managed to scrape together some guests to invite over, and tbh I don't know if this man even deserves a party, but everyone seemed to enjoy it.

9 outta 10 times Angela is the one who instigates the fight and Lilith is left crying. Little Miss "Cute Girl Next Door" is a bully and I'm officially a Lilith stan.

I understand we're supposed to blame the parents and not the girls, but Angela is making it real hard for me to like her 😒

I don't know if these two are coded this way, or if this is how the game normally acts and I'm just so used to sims 4's flavourless gameplay, that I have forgotten, but Angela and Lilith are constantly, autonomously at each other's throats.. AND I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY!! ☝️😠

Lilith is doing so well in school! She's getting wants to do her homework and she even got a promotion at work and rolled a want to become an Overachiever! I feel so proud of her 🥹

Well, would you look at that... We're still only on Pleasantview's first rotation, and yet here's already the SECOND man begging for forgiveness from his partner.

I'm giving these two time to let the betrayal simmer a little and see if Mary-Sue will end up wanting to get a divorce! 💅

I believe so, just like going on strike 'til your demands are met, y'know. But I have very little faith in the sims community to pull something like that off, unfortunately 😅 A new pack comes out, people stand their ground for a week or two and then fold, cause the anger wears off and fomo kicks in.

There's a big difference between playing a game you already own, and continuing to spend money on said game. Holding someone accountable is often a sign that you genuinely care - blindly supporting ANYONE does more harm than good. Someone can be an asshole, and still have valid points.

Two things can be true simultaneously. Critique is not necessarily hate and shouldn't always be shrugged off as such. I think it's super fair that people in the EACN are held to a different standard. Just because something is worse, doesn't mean this isn't also bad.

I keep writing and deleting paragraphs about the EA boycott discourse, cause I feel like I don't see many sharing thoughts similar to mine, but I also have no desire to argue with people on the internet, and waves are a little high atm.
