"She knows what's good for her... and I ain't it." He could feel the young man staring at the back of his head. If he was a common snake, he'd have whipped around snatched the pea shooter right off his holster and blasted him in the head with his own bullet. Coop couldn't let a threat just go free like that. Wouldn't. But he wasn't and so he moved nary a muscle. "So, did you..." Maximus cleared his throat. "Did you guys ever... you know..." Cooper laughed. "Wouldn't you like to know..." The silence that came from behind was almost deafening, only the sound of the knight's awkward shifting of his weight onto his toes. Cooper turned his head as the young man paced within the stock room, biting the tips of his fingers as he considered his next words carefully. "Son-" Max shrugged. "I," he stammered. "If she likes it, then-" "Whoa, whoa, whoa," Cooper chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. "Lucy..." "Yes," he agreed. "I mean I haven't... I've never.." The boy trailed off, but didn't have to finish that thought. Cooper could pick up on enough to know he'd never gotten down, let alone knew how to find Lucy's particular buttons. Especially the weirder ones. There was one elephant in the room, though: the stupid fucking insignia on his chest. "A vault dweller, now a knight," the ghoul scoffed under his breath. "Lord help me now."

Hands on his waist, the knight quietly scrutinized Coop until the ghoul shifted under the heat of it. Cooper stood and looked the man into his eyes, hoping to get a different point across. The knight's frozen face had crept upward into a little smile. He took that as an invitation and his larger hand clumsily palmed the ghoul through his denim. He bristled at the young man's touch and snatched his wrist, more out of instinct than anything else. "Slow down there, cowboy," he hummed. "Buy a fella dinner first." "What?" Cooper would need more than the lord's help for these helpless cherubs pounding down his door. At least Lucy wasn't quite as clueless about the aspect of touch, but he knew the young man's crowd were a bunch of cultivated prudes. Why he was attracting the attention of this knight, he had no idea. But he'd be a fool to look a gift horse in the mouth.
