I highly doubt it. The AI's ability to "machine verify" good writing is only one of *many* challenges. I don't even think it's one of the hardest ones IMHO.

In the last 6 years it's been a very disappointing space and not a lot of companies really making it a priority. So probably not "soon".🤷‍♂️

Ads are coming to AI and this is bad * ♾️ . I'm an AI enthusiast, however AI ads border on catastrophic harm.

They have too much information and the AI is much too persuasive. It will be the most manipulative form of advertising ever created.

Same. I have 1/10 the people here that I had on X at peak and I'm never getting them back. And it's not my audience either. I think X is a special case.

In many ways, you have more political impact by using your larger presence on Meta than you could hurt Meta by leaving at the moment. IMHO.

It's really uncreative to fall back to this binary, black and white, us and them, thinking about technology. Especially in the context of sci-fi.

There could have been a lot of ways to handle this better. Like a new category. This is a classic false dichotomy. Sci-fi authors should know better.

I've rarely seen anything that illustrates how profoundly investors misunderstand AI and games. It's cool, but Google's Genie is as far away from creating video games as it is from writing and directing a blockbuster movie.

Yeah. It’s so twisted. For solo devs using AI is a matter of making the game or not making it. AI shaming isn’t really going to hurt big studios. If they have to they can just keep pretending they aren’t using it.

It’s inevitable that AI is going to be used in almost all game production pipelines.

Also inevitable that the x100 boost is based in hype, not reality. But x2 or even x0.5 is probably a good enough reason to use it for most studios.

It's not hot on my plate since, you know, I don't own a AAA studio and no one is paying me to fix "The System" lol!

Lol, didn't expect this to get that long but I think there are a lot of ways AAA studios could adapt and restructure and not just because it's good for them. It's good for indie designers who don't want to risk their mortgage and want to gain experience from pros. 🤷‍♂️

It de-risks everything for indie devs and lets them take shots on goal faster with better talent on better games while building a pipeline for everyone that comes after. No one is starting from scratch in their home office over and over wondering if they've made a horrible mistake. 👇

A major studio could restructure a part of itself to crank out games as fast as a mobile slop shop but every single game would be created with top notch support and talent. And if they get ONE HIT it makes as much money as any of their AAA titles. 👇

And let's not forget that, say what you will about AAA studios, there are great designers there who can look at an idea and fix it or pass on it in minutes. They don't need to build the thing to know it's a garbage idea. 👇

In many cases that overhead of a AAA studio is a nightmare, but it could just as easily be a super power. There is infrastructure no one is using, custom tech stacks for everything, rapid prototyping tools, talent floating around in between projects, there is easy reach to influencers, press, etc. 👇
