Also don't really want to undo all the work I've done since August.... But that will be a temp setback if anything.... Sorry, not sorry for the kinda vague posting.

One the one hand, knowing will be good, even if it will complicate things a fair bit... Though I have effectively also been self treating for a while...so adjusting will be doable... GP is looking to rule out a few other things as well... Knowing me it could be both... Need to try and keep notes.

I've got some tests coming up in a few weeks which might shed some light on some things. They require me to actively have things I don't normally have to prevent a false result... Hate to say they might actually be on to something. Day 2 and feeling it... Need to do this for the next eight weeks 😞🤢

No #poolselfie today, as given the sun is out, took one on the way back. Been twice this week, which given I am pretty fatigued from the annual trip to #SciFiWeekender is pretty good going. Definitely having to take it easy otherwise ahead of the return of @sfsfsocial.bsky.social on Saturday

Depending on swelling compression gloves can help. Mine are a lifesaver some days. The little hand hottie warmer things can be a godsend as well. It can vary so much though... and I really hope you find something that works for you soon, Jim

It really is!!

It's warm, comforting and looks appetising. Perfect with some good crusty bread (which unless I make some I never have in hah) although I hear that a grilled cheese on toast is amazing too (not something I have tried though)

Today's soup. Scotch broth. One of my all time favorites. I love pearl barley and the combination of the lamb and spices makes for a really tasty mix.

Executive dysfunction is high today... but I did manage to send an email chasing up the adaptations that were agreed nearly three years ago now and have yet to be completed...

Managed the pool this morning, but not managed to get warm after the trip back... So it's a bowl of lovely hot soup with crackers for dinner. Cream of tomato. Comfort food...

Two surprise bits of good news today.... Kinda feel like I should buy a lottery ticket....

Managed to get in for Aqua this morning as a last minute. Need to try and make sure when I don't that I do something else instead...

Also I think this year is going to have to be the year I get my lovely wonky brain's peak acheivements out of my head. Very unlikely Mashups. I don't need suggestions, I already have hundreds - it's where my brain lives... some of them need inflicting on the rest of the world!

I went to the pool this morning, but swimming didn't happen thanks to an IBS flareup en route... will try again tomorrow. Did have a great massage this afternoon though which is good for the fibro.

(my wider team are responsible for a lot of analysis, plus back end of some very specific systems) the nicest thing though is that it just isn't seen as weird. The database engineer/dev I work with is a great lass, and we both recognise that it ISN'T the norm... though wish it were.

My wider team at work is a tech team (not specifically dev, but we do some code - and lots of analysis/reports) and actually was really impressed that the gals outnumber the guys - and I know in the dev teams it's a more even split than I've ever seen. Actually a REALLY pleasant change

Well, I think that given what I've seen today that it may be time to mix things up and look at pastures new in terms of my event schedule...
Should have trusted my gut sooner I think.

Turns out the feeling ill yesterday was not solely woman related... As I found out at 2am...makes sense why I had slept a lot now #closecall

My Christmas day dinner.
No stress or fuss (I have some nice meat waiting for when I get back... And feel like making a nice dinner)

That beef looks spot on!

Mostly traditional Danish Jul dinner - with some roast pork, roast duck, brunede kartoffler (caramelized potatoes) boiled potatoes, parsnips, red cabbage and additional pigs in blankets and a bit of cranberry sauceand gravy of course. So tasty!

Dessert was risalamande. A rice porridge based dessert with a cherry sauce. Lighter than a rice pudding but still rich and tasty. No whole almond or money in this one (both regular traditions) . Just lots of flavour.

Had an unexpected invite for a proper Danish Jul dinner with my lovely Hinckley friends this evening.(with additional blanketpiggies) alt text for the deliciousness on the plates!
Always lovely to see them and grateful to have been included. Now back in HB watching Violent Night.
