Some very interesting themes woven into this and doing even more creative stuff with Pokรฉmon's format that I really enjoy. I'm glad that a series with so many protagonists has managed to make them all stand out and have very compelling stories so far.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Season Two):
I felt it growing on me more and more over time. A really likeable and flexible cast that tells a lot of endearing stories that are both funny and thought-provoking, I didn't even mind some of the more controversial elements of this season. Great show
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Season One):
It's weird and silly a lot of the time, but gives a lot of moments for you to really think about the inner workings of the world and the mindsets of the characters and what it could all mean. I'd describe the show as 'esoteric' but in a good way
buddy never even fully evolves his starter and is out here going "i bet your father would make for a better challenge than you!"
27.01.2026 18:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0i recently played through both pokรฉmon ruby and sapphire back to back, and was surprised how much care was put into certain changes being more than just swapping words around for the villains, its attention to detail i really respect
whys the male rival such a jerk compared to the girl one though
Cells at Work! CODE BLACK:
Interesting seeing a much more dreary and depression depiction on the series based around a less functional body. Lot of good emotion and cool directions
I cannot help but immaturely giggle at the seriousness it talks about things like STDs or Morning Wood though.
Ashita no Joe:
I've been wanting to see a boxing story like this for so long and this delivered. So much raw emotion and power behind the fights and meaning in them. A really wonderfully developed character in Joe.
But also good god this might be the most depressing thing I've read in a while lmao
currently thinking deeply about the idea of a snes style jrpg but your main party is just The Beatles

Very cute culmination of everything Gainax/Trigger had done so far in a sweet coming of age story with tons of little moments for any show of theirs that had been out at the time. It's fun, amusing, and adorable.
And me being me, I adore all the focus LWA in particular gets
Cells at Work!! (this is season 2)
A bit less comedic than the first season but keeps up a lot of the charm that made me quickly fall in love with the beginning stretches. Most of what I said there applies here but with a bit more of narrative and some prettier animation. A really fun show overall
in a world bloated with unnecessary and unfitting crossovers, i feel like we've truly missed out on the easy goldmine of having the plot of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater taking place in the setting of The Jungle Book
i need big boss to learn about the bear necessities
after episode 2 (its only the 4th chapter but its really really good)

though im also bias since the anime leaves out one of my fave arcs

there's something really cool about seeing some of the old watercolor art for mons that didn't get updated next to new more modern art, great timepiece for the series.
Cells at Work!
I've been meaning to get around to this for years now, and I'm delighted how worth the wait it was. An adorable show that was a lot funnier than I expected, and with a sweet overarching theme, not to mention tons of cool facts about the human body. Great to hear Kametz again too.

06.01.2026 07:27 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Rick and Morty Season Six:
I'm really beginning to get tired of the meta humor and self-referential humor, it's so repetitive and spiteful in this that its kinda lost all humor. The show still has some good episodes like Pissmaster but when it gets all meta it's REALLY irritating. Season 7 save me
Pokรฉmon Adventures: Yellow Arc
We get a pretty engaging completely original character who never feels too out of place with the rest of the cast, and a lot of interesting deviations from the expected norm of Pokรฉmon while keeping the core themes. Most of all I love how creative battles get here.
Pokรฉmon Adventures: Red, Green & Blue Arc:
I was surprised out how fast everything went by, but a creative and very standout take on the classic Kanto story while still maintaining a lot of the heart of the Pokรฉmon series. Very impressed with how much they got out of a relatively simple story here.
