in a lovely section of the Cotswold Way at Stinchcombe Hill.

Wansdyke to the west of Englishcombe, near #Bath #Somerset #UK. Despite centuries of study, we're still not sure who built it or why. It was probably the Romano-British or the early Saxons, & may have been for defence or a political boundary. #History #Archaeology #Landscape #LandscapePhotography
