Haha I guess don’t do what I did since it resulted in me burning out on comics. But drawing it made me better, so any amount of comics is a net positive I hope.

Yeah I guess this is probably 100% true! I guess my experience was weird where the first project was someone else's baby (i was just hired to draw it) so i didn't have the attachment and no way to go back and fix things up afterwards since it was...in bookstores by then.

Of course this is just the first slide so I might be missing your narrative sorry if that’s the case! 🙏

I think this is great advice, especially since the act of getting to a finished comic is Herculean.
But i also think you don’t get good at comic unless you draw them. My first comic was a 150 graphic novel, then a 250 one, then a 180 pg one. Of course I wish 1st one was better, but it was necessary.
