Monday morning time to make sure every single update is done on my work device so I am not interrupted working on something important [I will be interrupted regardless].

Think we have a new record. 3 days into the semester & I already had a screaming, crying, raging, blood sugar raising breakdown about work.

Normally I usually make it at least a month.

Fuck re-organizations. I have yet to meet one that benefits staff especially disabled staff.

Its a work in progress for sure. I know both more sleep & an exersize routine would help significantly, but they are both things that I have little time to add into my life at the moment.

87 isn't super close to low unless dropping fast. Typically diabetics only feel low in the 80s if their blood sugar has been running higher [200-300] for a long time. Most nondiabetics live in the 80-90 range normally. Also dropping from a high blood sugar will feel awful, but not being in the 80s.

[Mostly unrelated to this thread I just like to yap] Lyumjev isn't going as well as I hoped so it might behave even weirder. Lyumjev seems to have 2 peaks for me making things messy. 1 at 30 minutes & 1 at 1.5 hours (like Humalog & Novolog have for me).

06.01.2026 15:52 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I haven't tested this with Lyumjev yet, but Novolog is this way. Otherwise Novolog works great. I have wondered if this is insulin resistance "like" behavior as someone who had IR at diagnosis & took a glp-1 for 12 yrs. I always wonder when it will creep in, but my TDI is still pretty low/"normal."

When I 1st started back in office I had thought that my insulin sensitivity was out of wack because I could be 160 for hours, appear to have no IOB, and then have to go to another department & tank walking there. The insulin just sits.

So when I work my desk job I will chill high for hours if I didn't move post meal. If I move then I crash. So I have had to adapt as nothing is close to my office.

[This kinda got ranty] I have this problem with any period of inactivity as well. The insulin doesn't move/my sensitivity goes down & I sit higher for longer until I crash, but often the corrections do not work until they reach that crash point. I typically do not have overnight hypos otherwise.

Ive seen a few folks in Tandem groups on FB mentioning this & after repeat conversation with Tabdem ended up getting replacement pumps unfortunately as there seems to be a group of Mobi's that have an issue with insulin delivery.

So far it seems okay, seems to work better for basal overall but little iffy on bolus depending on what I am having.

Yup, Dexcom had me at 88 and went to 68 post meal and I was like "oh no" and 2 finger sticks read 100 back to back πŸ« πŸ™„.

The annoying part is the G7's i got most recently seem to be a bit slow/less reactive to my BG versus the previous batch [so revision# 15 to revision 16] so its going to make determining success vs failure harder.

Humalog doesnt work well for me [in that it works too long/my pump can't compensate] & I know some see no difference between Humalog & Lyumjev. Sadly Fiasp doesn't work for the Tslim well [which is why it wasnt approved] AND it isn't covered by my insurance or I would have asked to use it instead.

Switching from Novolog to Lyumjev shortly [been avoiding because I'm nervous, but this might reduce prebolus time & cost me less]. #T1D

If Jersey Mike's had the option to do Ham & Swiss on their app they would get so much of my money. It quite literally is the only thing that has stopped me ordering nearly a dozen times. I go back & check to see if I can & get so bummed. I hate provolone 🫠.

And fought for this but is often forgotten in this conversation.

"In February, Minnesota’s House of Representatives passed a bill, named for a state resident who died because he could not afford his insulin, to etablish an insulin affordability program."

I only say this because his mother Sue has been active in #Insulin4All for years

It was actually attributed to legislation that passed in Minnesota called the Alec Smith Act. Alec died from rationing his insulin. Eli Lilly cited that as the reason besides bad press which could be because of the Twitter but so many other incidents occurred that were not directly cited.

Hoping it will fix itself because I don't want to call & they never send replacement if I submit online instead of call.

I was previously on REV 008 & 009 which seemed to have more failures. Now I am on REV 015 & 016 mostly. I kinda assume the older ones just didn't work well for me.

28.11.2025 04:44 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I haven't had significant issues in a while until the one I have on now. It hasn't failed but it's accuracy is just off enough to read me low after every meal until I shoot up from cut basal when I was never low.

28.11.2025 04:44 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

You know how to deactivate them when they do scream though right? [Little hole under the adhesive layer that needs a pin inserted]. So many will hit them with a hammer or freeze them instead of that which isn't as fast [though with the hammer cathartic]. Though some will deactivate without issue.

So like was the dose actually wrong or would shutting off Control IQ have fixed the problem...

22.11.2025 20:08 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Annoying part is my rise happened at 1.6 hours just after the insulin peaked. Meaning I bolused wrong but prior to that had been dropping so my pump cut back basal too much which facilitated the rise. Of course sans meal my ISF is right so cutting basal would make sense but not wirh food involved.

22.11.2025 20:08 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Blood sugar going up just before I am trying to leave the house after previously being stable post meal should be illegal. I know sitting still while driving will only send me up 30-70 mg/dl by the time I get there.

Shit like this that takes time away from the day is what sucks the most.

Yeah that was the exact reason that finally sealed Mobi vs Tslim bc I could have gone back to an iPhone if I really wanted it. I didn't go with it bc I had my old android self destruct about 10 mths prior. I didnt want to be 100% reliant on my phone. My iPhone battery experiences have been terrible.

So if I drop it my site doesn't typically rip out even with it being heavier. Overall not too many complaints outside of the cartridge & the connection to the phone app [but that's an android issue mostly].

Though for other reasons I would rather have the Mobi or the Twiist but I am on android.

21.11.2025 04:03 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The cartridge is a bit of a pain if you have any kind of dexterity issues, but unlike the Mobi you do not need a "special" syringe to put insulin in it technically. So in emergencies you have more options. It is about 2x the size of a Mobi. I use the trusteel infusion set which has 2 placements

Been good to me so far. I am about 1.5 years in to my adventure. I keep it in a gel case at home & a leather case when out & about without issue. I am not particularly hard on my electronics though.

It does have to be on the same side as the CGM & if you use phone connection it has to face outward.
