Yesterday I read the "If you're anything like me" poem and it's probably the one thing keeping me hopeful

I know there are bigger issues in the world than a delayed package but I ordered it in November and unexpected changes upset me so much (I'm autistic). Today I was going to do so many cool stuff and be productive and now I just want to stay in bed all day :(

Somehow I'm not even surprised (I told a friend yesterday "actually I don't think they'll deliver it tomorrow") because lately these little things that bring me joy keep on disappearing or being delayed. I barely get excited anymore because I know how it ends

It was the most AMAZING Christmas present and it took me a lot of thinking to buy it because it was expensive af but it was the one thing I wanted and I really really thought it was going to arrive today

I'm so upset right now :( I've been waiting for a Christmas present over a MONTH and the shipment company took forever to email me back about it and it was supposed to arrive TODAY and now there was an issue with my address (?) I called and fixed it but now I have to wait until tomorrow
