My one major caveat is that I think the person matters quite a bit. Someone saying "I will make the buses free and provide food to starving kids" will always bear out "you have to vote for me have you seen the other guy?"

Candyland's also an incredibly well designed game for its modern target audience, that being children who are still learning color matching, counting, and object permanence. It's a great example of how you can grow into or out of games!

I say, having had incredible results fully replacing minis and maps on a table with a fuckin' powerpoint slide deck (for blades in the dark and trails of Cthulhu)

The silly fun trick is how they CAN hold so much cognitive load that may otherwise make a game unmanageable. But that usage is often dropped in favor of the super conventional "I am 25 feet away so I move 20 feet closer and bonk the zombie with a hammer"

The GM has to have fun too! You can't just leave them out!
