There is something funny Abt these anthropomorphic personifications of countries getting taken out by (1) purple oni over multiple timelines. Mr oni was trying to do us a service and we were too blind to realize it.

And Italy was the one looping and he dies and is like "finally...I saved everyone...from the aoi oni..." And it made teenage me sad I'll admit it.

The thing is that the aoi oni didn't seem to have anything to do with the time loop they just did that themselves bc the oni kept sliming them

The funny thing abt heta/oni is that it starts out as a "het*lia characters in the aoi oni house" but then it turned into a tragic time loop thing and Italy got fucking killed by the aoi oni
