19.02.2026 20:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0rn the system I'm working on focuses on what majority of our games will be using which is the RAC style third person platform/shooter hybrid, its easily adjustable to different styles from there, then I'll be focusing hard on the sidescroller stuff for occultryx. both of these will stay modular
19.02.2026 20:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0that being said the character system being modular doesn't really affect the workflow. since with gltf you can easily export a fully modular character as a single asset. this includes full outfits for clothes. while not supported atm I do plan to branch the core character systems into variants

I think this looks close enough.
stuff like Ex-Term's (Formerly Knights of Miami) (yeah still not dead lol) vehicle's will have to wait. But characters, weapons/combat, movement, and of course visuals all come first. I've made really good progress on all those fronts already. however I'm still terrible at math so it'll be a bit lol

a lot of the systems so far are heavily based on secondlife and especially @shadoskill.emptylist.co's (nsfw) fullarray. designed with modularity and modding in mind

idk when the first game we will use where its gonna be accesible to the player. but it'll be used for npcs and costumes

I p much need to double the amount of animations I've got just cause of how different this engine is. however I don't think that is a bad thing here

No promises but I do intend to have those characters be able to be controlled by other players when in coop
Monster planet being the first major jump into this. Tezca (H-08), Winona (H-14)(Out-class Hunter), and Dysis (H-13) (Occultryx) being all playable characters. OCH and OX both being basically introduction games. there are some other characters in both that play bigger roles later as well

narrative and design wise they're unlikely to get partner characters. but with our other projects they all have partner characters as a major mechanic

but there is a visible heat function to the guns
locomotion and other sorts of movement stuff have been fine tuned finally. added in the dodge
overall I'm p happy with where its going. its not going to take long to catch up to where the project was in unreal
still got some tweaking to do but overall movement is working how I want. now I can comfortably move onto getting the animations working properly.

oops may have done a bit more work on the godot port of frontier. got somewhat functional controls and some basic locomotion stuff
