I didn't do a "here's where the title comes from" line in Hey Jude and Jesse's Girl, mainly b/c they're self explanatory/famous song names, but I'm breaking my own mold in book 3 and the title/song will be referred to ON-PAGE and it will be stupidly adorkable and I hope you love every moment of it.

Ordered a bunch of supplies for my first author signing, which is NEXT MONTH (!!) in Saskatoon 🇨🇦 for Romance on the Prairies, and let's just say I'm glad I'm a millennial Tetris wiz because I am going to be pulling on those skills to pack my suitcase

Something I bloody love writing as a romance author is a little sleepy snuggle moment between the characters. When they're just cozy and happy and cuddled up and maybe he's half-hard and can't stop touching her YOU GET IT

Two things happened to me this morning:

(1) A bird shat on my child who has contamination OCD

(2) I tried to film content for social media

GUESS WHICH WAS HARDER 🤬

Am I hiding my videos unnecessarily? Or are these pathetic views just the reality of posting on YT? I want to be responsible but not if it means literally no one seeing them. Why bother?

YouTube question: I set my videos as (a) not intended for children, and (b) restricted to 18+. Are both necessary settings for a spicy romance author? Or is this like that KDP thing where everyone knows not to hit the 18+ button because it hides your book?

Currently swirling in the throes of the "I need to write to get to know my characters" vs "I can't write until I know my characters" catch-22 and I hate it here 😅

I feel this so much today.
