turkey roosting on the handrail of our front steps.

Turkey update: He is still there. I have gone in and out the door several times, said hi to him in passing, and he is completely chill about the whole thing. My son has started using him as a weather gauge: "Judging from the turkey's feathers it must be windy out there!"

I am used to seeing wild turkeys in Boston. I am not used to seeing one roosting right outside my front door. He looked at me through the window, totally unconcerned, and went back to pruning himself. He is quite large. What are the gods trying to tell me...

I did this painting tonight of how it feels to attempt to sleep with both of my dogs. They keep me up, (hence the annoyed expression) but i feel so loved and there’s nowhere else I’d rather be (garden was an attempt at capturing that but didn’t succeed much)

A blue eyed, brown skinned Stone Age girl sitting by the water surrounded by fishing equipment, mallard ducks and hazelnuts, in what is now Denmark. She is holding a piece of birch pitch gum in her hand. From the ancient gum researchers were able to find DNA from the person who had chewed it, and even from the food she had probably eaten shortly before.

I noticed that the dear girl is out in the public again, and this time in association with a news story about a study on the skin colour changes of prehistoric Europeans over time. So here she is, Lola, the Danish birch pitch chewing gum girl.

This is my favorite piece you’ve done, and I love all of your art. I have Lola as my phone lockscreen!

They caught a “bird.”
This is a picture of some characters from my story called Flying Monkeys (with a cast of apes with wings— not a single monkey) going on a dnd like adventure. I had an idea that one of the protags(chimp) gets hunted by a fish person when he injures a wing and falls. Idk yet
