Assistive technology has existed since the 1980s. Most Windows, Apple, and Android devices now have built-in assistive technologies. Anyone who is IT literate enough to set up their own smartphone should know. When in job interviews, this comes up

Neurologically speaking, there's no such thing as 'useless' subjects or 'rip-off' degrees

Insisting we should only teach useful subjects is like saying science should only do research that gives positive results

If you honestly believe that's how anything works, *your* education was the wasted one

What annoys me most though is that it's just a mindset that lacks any understanding of impact.

Nodding sagely about being inclusive, while also complaining not being allowed to just throw up a Squarespace site for their particular thing.

Everyone is an ally until it involves plans or effort.
