Well hey, it's Friday and a new album of The Cure playing their new album live was just released!

A few weeks have past and I'm still mostly listening to death metal and The Cure.

The weekend peaked on Day 1 when I entered the pit for Undergang. My first time in a pit in probably 15 years. And I didn't lose my glasses!

I never posted a Day 2 recap, but it was also a great time. YOB is love. Cirith Ungol brought the old-school thunder. Earthburner was a raging blast. Tons of fun all around.

I was out until 1am, which never ever happens. Time for brunch and coffee then let’s do it all again this afternoon!

Night 1 was tremendous. Lots of variety (both musical and beer.) Undergang stole the show for me. Autopsy delivered the gore-soaked goods. Dreadnought was an outlier stylistically but still captivating. Necropanther was as good as their name (very.) Daeva shredded.

I've been looking forward to this for months. Flying to Denver for two nights of great metal and my first beer festival. I'm most excited for Yob, Crypt Sermon, Autopsy, and Undergang, and I will be trying my absolute best to not puke.
