I am so honored to receive the Temple University Division of Student Affairs Values Award for Inclusiveness.

The greatest reward in disability services is watching students achieve their potential. But it is a great honor when your colleagues recognize your passion. I am fortunate to call TU home.

Any person who supports the oppression of any marginalised group is no ally of mine.

Disability is intersectional. You either stand for everyone’s rights or you don’t stand for anyone.

Several of my cohort members were more clinical and did the DSW. Some in private practice.

I do companion animal rescue. Mostly dogs and cats, although we've had guinea pigs, bunnies, ferrets, and even a mama pot belly pig and her piglets!

Just because you CAN play videos on your phone at full volume on the train doesn't mean that you HAVE to, or even that you should.

Hi, Kelsey! Nice to meet you. My work is more in the macro space; I don't do therapy, so a PhD in Psych wasn't the right path for me. I work in higher ed admin, specifically in disability services, so the DSW was a great fit.

We can't leave education in the hands of individual states. The stakes are too high.

Disabled students, indeed all students, will stand to lose their access to a quality education based on where they live. Data already shows that certain states are behind.

We've seen the effects of leaving certain decisions up to the states. It results in inequities in access. The refrain, "If you don't like it, just move to another state" reeks of privilege in failing to recognize that moving requires resources that not everyone has.

When creating PDFs, avoid using "Print to PDF." A screen reader user may still be able to access the text of PDFs created this way, but heading structure, alternative text, and any other tag structure will be lost. Using "Save As" or "Export" can preserve these tags.
