zack blinked slowly before his expression like a puppy brightened up. HELL YEAH! that is such a good reward for his first client.. but..

sheesh, most would just take it but zack and his kindness can't help it sometimes.

zack blinked and sheepishly took a step back as he'll rub the back of his head. he'd look to the side as the newly merc didn't even think about that. "Haha... what would you say... If I didn't even think about any of that...?"

sheesh, he really should have thought about it but it's too late now

"Sadly this is not the time for teaching nor am I gonna play this game, sorry cloud but this is for your own good." without even further explaining himself... the raven haired merc used the flat side of his blade and slammed it down with enough force on cloud's head.

his voice came out firm but strict towards his friend. "slow but weak. if you actually wanted to beat me then you have to try harder." he glares down at cloud as he grabbed his shoulder and soon sweep his foot underneath cloud as he threw him down to the ground.

zack narrowed his eyes at cloud. he held out his own sword and got into position before swiftly. he quickly side stepped before swiftly twirling the blade in his hand and 𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘮 the handle of iron blade into cloud's stomach.

zack's phone vibrated as the merc quickly took out said phone and smiled softly. finally another client.

he'll quickly began jogging over to the location. he is ready to help out some more of his clients... of course for a price since he does need the money...

zack blinked a few times. huh.. demons were a thing.ᐣ you would think the merc would be doubtful but after everything.ᐣ he's quite open-minded.

"Alright. I'll take the job.ᐟ" though if he finds out their lying. he'll dip.. but he will trust their words.

with zack? no way will he act big with little to his name especially with how little his reputation is right now, even then. he probably talk big playfully but not seriously.

zack narrow his eyes for a second there. he'll stare for a moment longerbefore asking the most important questions.

"why are you breaking your friends out? why are they in prison?"

yes, he's a merc now but even he has morals though.. if there is a good enough reasoning, he'll happily partake and +

zack pause softly and smiled at receiving a new message on his flip phone. he's glad that nice woman was able to give him one alongside a replacement sword with new clothing.

"Cloud.ᐣ bud.ᐣ what's going on.ᐣ"

This isn't like how he would expect their reunion to go...

by his dreams, he even got some tasty chocolate as a reward recently. he still haven't found nor heard anything about cloud... though he did hear about a blonde ex-soldier but he has never came across them.

It has been weeks since he has been on the road, taking small clients and working on setting up a good reputation as a merc. it's still a work in progress but things has been going smoothly.

zack fair has escaped from captive once again after everyone has believed he has 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥. Instead he was kept in a tube and only taken out for experiments till he managed to escape once more as he was left abandoned in a run down lab.
