The birds they sang At the break of day
Start again
I heard them say
Don't dwell on what
Has passed away Or what is yet to be
Yeah the wars they will Be fought again
The holy dove
She will be caught again
Bought and sold And bought again
The dove is never free
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in
We asked for signs The signs were sent
The birth betrayed The marriage spent
Yeah the widowhood Of every government
Signs for all to see
I can't run no more
With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up A thundercloud
And they're going to hear from me
Ring the bells that still ring Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in
You can add up the parts You won't have the sum
You can strike up the march
There is no drum
Every heart, every heart
To love will come
But like a refugee
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in That's how the light gets in That's how the light gets in

Good morning. We woke up today feeling hopeful for cracks in the ICE, in all the darkness, that will let in the light.

If you say you love freedom but you don’t believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love isn’t freedom. It’s privilege.

I was just talking about you to a friend today whose daughter is struggling with mental illness and is hospitalized right now. Her daughter has been writing poetry and I told her about you. You are a source of inspiration to so many people. Your poetry is so beautiful, I am thankful for you πŸ’•

The Healers

You can hear them
moving among the ruins,
hear them by their silence in the noisy crowds.
You can see them, opening
their little bags, opening
the shrapneled hearts of strangers,
crouching before the body of a child
to lean down and whisper her a story,
a story in which what's happening
is not what's happening.
They mend; they stitch; they carry.
They work; they weep; they lose.
And when nothing can be done
among the rubble,
they kneel there as the fires fall around them
and they cradle the face
of the dying,
the life that is trying
to speak to them,
the life that whispers, listen,
and they do.

                                                 β€”Joseph Fasano

Demi Moore losing to Mikey Madison should be a post-credits scene to The Substance.

As a kid watching Red Dawn in the 80s, I definitely though the Russian takeover of the US would involve at least *some* tanks
