The real horror is the "P/E ratio" (share price to earnings ratio - essentially how long would it take for the company to earn what it is capitalized at).
For Tesla: 308.1 meaning it would take over 308 years of current earnings to cover its market capitalisation.
That is utterly insane.
Number of shares x price per share.
In a normal time this will tell you how big a company.
In this case it tells you how much too high the share price is.
A small calf standing in a field with a roller behind it. It has new yellow tags in both ears.
Well Santa does not get everything right - but in his defence, what even is a "calf roller"?

In 2024 we gave up 3.5% of our revenue. This year it'll be 4%. To get there we added some €2,500 grants for "local" projects. Things I like that act as forces for good. One of these is @dublininquirer.com . If you can, please subscribe. They do fantastic things. www.dublininquirer.com/membership/

04.12.2025 12:13 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0One of the things I have started doing in event sourcing is to return any output from a projection as a structure of:
projection id {int}
projection version {int}
as of event number {int}
value
Then whenever this value is used you can perform a "is this still correct" test on it.
You could certainly look at when projector V2 is on the same event as projector v1 then switch them (programmatically).

i.e. what if a new event is appended between it getting to the top and it flipping the feature flag?

I suspect this was a way of volunteering me for a lot of grunt work.
