An interesting book so far, with a poetry just below the waterline writing style. I like the idea that all words are IOUs*, which will eventually lose their meaning if not used.

"Borderlines" is a magnificent book. I have not read the others, so no doubt, another trip to Westport beckons.

Cameroon 🇨🇲 (who I am sort of supporting) would go into a play off.
My favourite on this:
"Computability and Unsolvability" by Martin Davis was published in 1958. In 1973, Davis published a paper in Scientific American about a development in the field, which listed his book 1958 in the references.

A meme for a recursive function. In the first frame a man says "I am writing a recursive function". In the next a woman replies "You remembered the exit condition first right?". The whole meme is repeated in the bottom right corner...and in the bottom right corner of that and so on...
Sigh...trip over own laces again....

"Conference, we have a.........duty to young people"
In addition to the actual content, the cadence of Kemi Badenoch's speech is grating too - it reminds me of the old BBC Micro speech synthesiser application (or Stephen Hawking's for our younger viewers).

A line graph of the household savings rate for Ireland as a percentage, by quarter from 2020 quarter 1 to date.
It is possible, and also the demand side is becoming sated as globalisation has made physical products really cheap and there is only so much "stuff" you can buy so you end up with an excess of money.
Certainly COVID had a huge impact on savings rate that has not fully unwound.
A flyer advertising a talk called "Reigniting Town Centre Living" subtitled "An evaluation of the fire safety aspects of reusing vacant "above the shop" accommodation" by Martin Moore, Assistant Chief Fire Officer from Tipperary Fire and Rescue Service.
Another thing that needs addressing is the huge vacancy rate in "over the shop" accommodation. Hopefully this from Tipperary Fire & Rescue can get the conversation going one one of the aspects holding back (re)development of these excellent potential homes.

NEWSFLASH!...You're not sovereign, you never have been. King Chuck is sovereign. He lends it to his parliament. You live under a monarchy. You're subjects, not citizens.
