A glass jar filled with finely ground eggshell powder sits on a work surface, with clean, dried eggshells collected in a small tub beside it. Prepared in an allotment kitchen garden, this organic calcium powder is made by grinding saved eggshells to return nutrients to the soil, supporting healthy plant growth in vegetables and fruit grown at home.

I save eggshells, dry them, then grind them into a fine powder to add back into the soil as part of long-term soil health. A simple organic source of calcium, especially useful for tomatoes, strawberries and leafy greens. #SoilHealth 🥚🌱
