Saw this little guy last night with the Salish Sea School in Anacortes, WA as part of their free community dock walk I volunteer as an interpreter for.

We can tell it is a giant pacific octopus from the single line of chromatophores on each arm.

I love this account so, so much.

It took me a few days to feel ready to read this piece. But I finally felt ready and wow was it worth it.

Born in Sudbury in 1940, he started in his career on CBC and would have hosted Hockey Night in Canada but CBC bosses didn't like his moustache. He went on to host Jeopardy! for 37 seasons, winning seven Emmys.
