It is crucial for President Biden to move quickly to fill inspector general positions and other ethics positions throughout the government and for the Senate to confirm IG positions before going home. It will be crucial to have every available check in place on a powerful executive next year.

I’m thinking about the Trump Cabinet and new useless Dept of Govt Efficiency and worrying that Trump may get his team through recess appointments without Senate confirmation. Senate has never recessed solely to allow recess appointments and that would be abdication of their Constitutional role. Bad.
