i tried to manifest this somewhat with 7gd but there generally needs to be more edm in 7, it's such a good timesig for that. cutting off that last beat makes things sound so much faster than they are and you end up being able to cram a lot more in

there's a point when going through the vsnares discography where you stop having to mentally count in 7 and you just start feeling it instinctively. highly recommend trying to get there

raw data to wav in audacity, granular sampler spam (some vsts can be nice but the very basic stock one in FL often works fine enough and is very good for learning), disabling declicking on edges of samples, microsamples in general, hardclip things and bring the volume back down. and lots of reverb

if you're disclosing samples do it on your own terms. make some liner notes or a video sample breakdown of it. putting stuff on whosampled just puts you in a crosshair

good (they were already owned by a sample licensing company with a vested interest in forcing people to do things the "legal" way, but people seemed to still treat it as something neat rather than a platform used to tattle to media companies. hopefully this is an eye opener)

the reason i didn't release this earlier is bc these are pulled from a slightly earlier version of the album, so it's different from the final in a few places, and a couple parts are missing. wanted to have something for the anniversary, though, so this will have to do. it's almost all there tho!
