Black and brown people had bomb threats at the polls and still showed up to vote. Black people marched & strolled to the polls. We organized our community.

Black people somehow knew what was at stake if people didn’t vote for Harris. Ya’ll didn’t listen to us and unite on Election Day.

Black people are not a monolith in this country. But we magically heard what they were saying and magically showed up to vote for Harris. Oh, it wasn’t magic? It was organization. We knew what was at stake. And we told ya’ll.

“They’re eating cats. They’re eating the pets.” I could have swore he was not referring to ‘Mexicans’. And Black people called it out then.

*waves hands* All that is happening now was predictable. How? They said this is what they were going to do.

Our teachers were on strike, so we had subs. This was the perfect excuse to have us watching the OJ trial all day everyday.

I don’t watch a lot of reality tv, but this one interests me. It’s the interactions, how they clique up, and how culture defaults to believing a certain demographic over others.
