Design for seniors: avoid quick actions.

Players only go to the previous track when already very close to the beginning of the current one.
Older users tend to wait for confirmation of every action therefore they don't operate this fast.

Homer now has 10s threshold to accommodate slower users.

Homer Audio Player allows adding screen margins to increase the area to hold.

I created Homer for my grandmother as her eyesight was deteriorating. Existing players were to complex for her.

She's been using a tablet with Homer for years now. I can update audiobooks remotely via G. Drive and podcasts provide fresh content every day.

👉Newly added books and podcast episodes are indicated by adding "New" to the title. You can configure this in text-to-speech settings.

It's a small improvement but grandma (aka user #1) loves it.
