Bluesky requires human-vetted feeds based on topics. Almost all feeds have about 50% spam. It’s both an engineering and an economic problem. Maybe one solution is to copy something like Stack Overflow reputation and governance to maintain quality.

Probably not, the api is just kinda trash. I just had an issue because the bluesky agent's own getFollowers method was internally throwing an error because the server returned a profile description that was too long... from it's own server. Annoying api.

Gimp ruined their UX. Years have passed since they changed everything around and I still haven't figured out how to do things that used to be easy. 😮‍💨

Thoughts on servers in nodejs then? Your post caught my eye because I loved ruby and rails but stopped using them because it was easier to just use javascript (now typescript) everywhere. Especially if "pairing backend with frontend closely" is important to you.

Browser extension idea: Intercept all thumbnails from youtube, run through an image classifier to identify joe rogan, somehow mark the return url so you can remove the DOM chunk from the frontend.

There is no situation in which I need a random recipe site to be allowed to send me notifications. None.

You can't really blame react for wasting ram. They're probably naively caching everything because that's a good idea on small webapps with but a bad idea when holding many music files 🤣

Anyone else notice nextjs sites sometimes become unresponsive after you open a tab you had inactive for a while? I remember even the nextjs docs used to do this... Though tbh could be one of my browser extensions and not a next issue? 🤔

It would be nice if the youtube tutorials on AI coding were tailored to people who actually know how to code. Guy I was just watching stops in the middle of cursor tutorial to explain what a freaking json file is... 🙄
