people keep lamenting over the death of websites, but what we've lost are websites as a communal space. replacing it with what is essentially a personal art piece tied to a domain isn't going to bring back the web I least grew up on.

why do people keep trying to play by the rules of those we hate dealing with? what's the point of entertaining this vc scum company that's destroyed the fabric of the internet and made everyone abandon making websites instead for a Discord Server. fuck discord, seriously.

if you and your friends only talk on discord, you should all have a community site of some sort you talk on, instead.
with how laws are targeting bigger platforms like discord and bsky, you should all have a sanctuary where you can act liberally.
these sites should be the bootstrap to escape.
