Photo of Mayor Brandon Johnson with the quote We will not tolerate ICE agents violating our residents' constitutional rights nor will we allow the federal government to disregard our local authority. ICE agents are detaining elected officials, tear-gassing protestors, children, and Chicago police officers, and abusing Chicago residents.
We will not stand for that in our city."
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is standing up for his city, and for every resident who calls it home!
ICE must follow the law and respect everyone's rights.
While Republicans hand ICE a blank check, Democrats are fighting back and we won’t back down!

CLEAN AIR
STRONG COMMUNITIES
CUTTING EMISSIONS
2025
1) Colorado's biggest source of GHG emissions is: transportation, energy, and oil & gas production.
2)Fossil fuels release pollutants that worsen asthma, heart disease, and lung cancer.
3)They also contribute to the spread of infectious diseases, contaminate water, and disrupt food supplies.
See how our neighbors are affected
BOCO Dems logo is in the top right corner
There is a break down on the left showing sources of CO2 emissions. Sadat is from 202
Most is from Energy, then agriculture, IPPU and waste. (No numerical value)
CLEAN AIR
STRONG LUNGS
2025
• Over 10% of Coloradans have Asthma
• Particulate from fossil fuels enters the body and lodges in the organs, causing strain - particularly in the heart.
• Pollution from emissions and wildfire smoke (caused by rising temperatures) can trigger flare-ups. Everyone with lung or heart issues pays the price.
• Cutting emissions = fewer smog days & fewer
hospital visits = healthier breathing (and savings)
for all of us.
STAY COOL
STAY DISEASE FREE
B O
2022
• Rising greenhouse gases fuel dangerous heat waves.
• Extreme heat puts kids, seniors, and workers at risk of heat stroke, heart strain, and dehydration.
• Limiting emissions means safer summers and stronger communities.
• Heat also expands the range of disease carrying insects, like ticks (spreading Lyme disease) & mosquitos (Dengue, Malaria, Zika).

The government is still shut down.
House Republicans? Still dodging debate.
Speaker Mike Johnson shut down the House and sent everyone on a break - all to pressure Democrats into backing their reckless spending plan.

Families don’t shut down. Communities don’t shut down. Why should our government?
Question: How long will we allow political brinkmanship to hold our paychecks, our healthcare, and our children’s future hostage?

Let’s be clear: Republicans control the House. Republicans control the Senate. Republicans control the White House. They made the choice to slam the door on government — and on the American people. That’s not leadership.

A picture of BoCo Dems Executive Director Dr. Stuart Lord with a quote that says “When it comes to the looming government shutdown, we’re on a dangerous track — inflation, instability, weakened systems, and political theater have left Americans deeply anxious. The question for Democrats isn’t whether to ‘stand in front of the train’ or wait until after the crash. The real responsibility is to change the tracks. That means naming clearly who created this crisis, refusing to be scapegoated, and putting forward real solutions that protect families, stabilize institutions, and restore trust. Leadership isn’t just about surviving the wreckage — it’s about preventing it in the first place.”
Congress is once again steering us toward a government shutdown — a crisis that will hurt families, workers, and communities across the country.
As Democrats, we believe leadership means more than political theater. It means protecting healthcare, keeping services running, and ensuring stability

Housing prices are causing some people to have smaller families than planned
Home prices skyrocketed during the pandemic — and have stayed high. For some Americans, making their budget work means having fewer children than they'd envisioned.
Far too many people are forced to choose between a roof over their heads or the family they want. We must make Boulder County more affordable so that families have the freedom to build the life they desire. Democrats are working hard to lower housing costs and create more opportunity for everyone.
