It's impossible to support Harry Potter without materially supporting Rowling, unfortunately. She does use those funds to undermine human rights. I think you can have your memories and enjoyment of Harry Potter, but it's important not to give her more money.

Outside cultural bubbles the average American sees Harry Potter as a beloved cultural icon. Jumping on someone for going to a HP concert and calling them transphobic is going to feel jarring. They'll think you're an irrational mob. If we want a boycott we've got to improve how we educate people.
