I'm looking for pitches for @MotherJones' print culture section, Mixed Media! These are ~2,000-word essays that combine reporting, cultural criticism, historical research, and/or personal narrative. More details in our pitch guidelines here: www.motherjones.com/contribute/w...

Writing is thinking you have a pretty solid idea of what you want to write about and where you want to pitch it and then taking a shower and getting a bunch of brilliant ideas and then jotting them down and then waking up the next morning not knowing which of those you should do.
