That's sad. I came to lecturing almost by accident, but it turned out to be the most fulfilling work I ever did. Some of my former students have gone on to earn £££, but others have been fulfilled in different ways. I'm thrilled that so many keep in touch.

Yes, agreed. I spent my career testing students knowledge of 'what happened before ' the specific course I was leading. We always taught survey courses in their first year, but still they were surprised when told that the militant women's suffrage movement had a direct link the the 2nd Boer War!

Thankfully I was very fortunate in my evals, even though I taught that most 'feminist' of topics, women's Suffrage. I was waiting for 'those' comments every year, but to my surprise & delight, they never came. #Blessed
