Ps..I read Can We Bend Reality Better? So great...you are so right...clearly change can happen fast and we are watching DT doing a reverse FDR. How we bend it in a different direction, I'm not sure, but it can't be driven by wooing disaffected Republicans if it's to matter.

Yes I think it is assumed that everyone is corrupt and only motivated by gaining money or power. The idea that some some folks want to be good citizens, neighbors or public servants is shocking to many

A look at false and misleading claims made by Trump during his first week President Trump, who returned to office Jan. 20, has wasted no time setting a new agenda, relying on false and misleading information to support several of his initiatives.

They have no understanding of social or political history, no sense of the political philosophy of the Nazis at all. What scares me the most is that they have no grasp that they are dimwitted.

Right? This is the "plan" to make government more efficient. Cannibalize public funds and give them to corporations. Nice how that works out for the already ridiculously wealthy.

It is really painful isn't it to feel that sense of frustration. I wish you well with your health and hope you find some answers.

It's an interesting observation. I think it's probably a tad easier to pander to a right wing audience than actually engage a progressive one. We do have somewhat complex rules whereas you can satisfy them with references to loving God and hating Soros. We're..complicated.

Looking at the election results and wondering where we go next, I am reaffirming my commitment to being both a progressive and a populist. We must wrest populism back from the right wing and promote an alliance of the poor, the working class and the middle class?/!
