I don't like canon Jake much bcs honestly the special chosen one treatment is... Jarring and damages everything else about that character.

Example of a kinda terrible guy the narrative treats as a nice guy who got away with too much.

As a villain, everything works so much better.

Quaritch thinks he's the hot shit, he's the daddy, he think Jake admires him.

Jake thinks Quaritch is a buff manslut obsessed with impressing him. He finds it funny how easily Q buys the

himself down, he has a good eye for when to act humble, - but it's an act.

Jake lets Quaritch act like a daddy to him at once, but he's amused, takes Quaritch like a fool, enjoying the Colonel's display to appeal to him.

To Jake even the Colonel is a mere stepping stone on his way to advance in

would be just as arrogant, thinking he's entitled to being in control even when he has 0 business being in control.

He'd be Quaritch's favorite, but also Quaritch's biggest disappointment at the same time, - bcs I don't think Jake likes anyone else's authority more than his own.

think Jake is... Not as humble as the goofy act makes it out to be. In that deleted Tsu'tey fight I think Jake sounds arrogant asf, it's none of his business to "teach a lesson" here bcs he's the asshole who helped Quaritch destroy the Omaticaya home anyways.

Imagine if Jake was a recom + had the same expression of personality as he did in the first half of Avatar 2009 (goofy, seemingly sincere, charming), but actually it was just his mask?

He'd be the most dangerous of them all. Disarmingly charming, also seeming dumber than he is.
