This is precisely why IMO, the BBC is so vital+why its c40% defunding by the last Conservative govt is so damaging to access to truthful information. The British govt, attacked itself by the #Trump #Musk #Farage axis, must act to re-fund it+shore up the #independence of #publicservicebroadcasting.

As a union we accomplished some great things last year. There is much more we can do so let’s keep on pushing to strengthen the creative industries and make it a place where everyone can thrive.

Membership of new Creative Industries Taskforce announced A new taskforce, led by Baroness Shriti Vadera and Sir Peter Bazalgette, to help deliver a plan to grow the creative industries met for the first time today.

Great to see some terrific people on this new Task Force @philippachilds.bsky.social @tracybrabinmayorwy.bsky.social Real change can only come about from risk and experimentation. More of the same won't cut it. As @richardosman1.bsky.social says "TV is on its knees..."
