24.06.2025 06:42 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0One reason the revolt on disability benefits is looking so substantial is the line being used to defend it lacks any integrity.
To claim that the purpose of cutting PIP - a non-means tested benefit - is to help people back into work requires saying something untrue.
A brave decision that is very much appreciated by those of us potentially affected by the proposed benefit cuts. Thank you π

When my grace period on UC ends I'll lose Β£933.20 per month. Yes, you read that right. Please can we campaign to scrap both.

The electorate: we want a political party that doesn't actively make our lives worse
Starmer: This result shows we must machine-gun the dinghies
Runcorn result may start bitter debate within Labour Henry Zeffman Chief political correspondent "On every door it was the same story β winter fuel and PIP." Those were the words of one disconsolate Labour campaigner I just spoke to as they emerged from the Runcorn and Helsby count. This is undoubtedly a great result for Reform UK which suggests their polling surge is real, and then some. It also may prove the start of a bitter debate within Labour about some of the most controversial decisions the Starmer government has made in its first 10 months.
