Getting a bit of retro fun in today. Got my retro collection out of storage (too expensive now) and doing some sorting⦠ok playing. After a quick head clean, glad to say the disk drive works. #retro

CE-125, needs new battery and tune up. At least the printer is working now. Tape deck seems dead.

If you are finding @jclpcb parts parametric search absolutely rubbish, then try this site. Its pulls the parts catalog and has an accurate search tool. Seems they have way more parts available they their search would lead you to believe.

16.05.2025 15:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Look what just arrived. I had a great chat with Nordic Semiconductor at the Hardware Pioneers expo in London
They have kindly sent me two kits to cover BLE and Wi-Fi.
Thank you Nordic ππ
Analog Devices was kind enough to gift me this AI Cube to look at when I was at the Hardware Pioneers expo yesterday. Looking forward to it. Thank you π
25.04.2025 15:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I saw these at Hardware Pioneers Max in London yesterday. I really liked the concept and if it can be integrated into other feeds of data (ie from Home Assist or others) then it could be a really fun way to visualize the health of your environment.

24.04.2025 13:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sneak peek at Pixelblaze Buddy Boards! These interface with a Pico and provide direct soldering for pebble strands, and support any strip via a connector or wires. Convenient USB-C breakout for power. Wired to a 4-pin pebble strand with backup data, then a 3-pin tape strip. @bhencke.bsky.social

26.03.2025 14:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I remember it very clearly.
I had one teacher who just had a pan with the jelly⦠we would come up one at a time with a plank page, press it into the jelly pan and hay, presto⦠a worksheet appeared.
Ok, I need a nap now.
Ai (chatGPT) seems to be quite good at abstract requests when it comes to drawing, but accurate drawings seem to be an oddity. I gave it clear text, so why on earth did it mess up some of the wording.
06.03.2025 10:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm surprised it lasted so long. I still use it to call voip phones overseas.
02.03.2025 19:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Truncated Icosahedron project rev. 2 is in progress, and I'm much happier with this version. It's less (but still somewhat) fiddly to assemble and has 3x the LEDs!
