It was really neat to hear that my ancestry had a profound effect on my family. That welding business was my dad's for many years. I grew up playing on metal sheets at my dad's work. I didn't know I had any kind of culture, but it was there all along.

I told him that's probably around the time of my grandparents. My grandfather started a welding shop. He was surprised by that. He told me welding started in Sweden. (Internet verified it)

I had like an interesting experience on my birthday. A Swedish Uber driver ended up explaining some of the history of my family I never knew.

It started when I told him my grandparents were Swedish. He said that most Swedes came to America in the 1870s due to starvation.

Had a lovely trip with my family. Ready to actually relax now.

Feet are on fire for this trip to Disneyland but it's so nice to have a real vacation.

Been a weird time at Disney. They had to comp back some vacation points because the room has had issues. Been a weird trip for sure, but it's nice to see family.
