Anyways... Lady Oscar cosplay because of reasons.

Since my eyelashes are still falling out despite finishing chemo over a month ago, why not do an ASOIAF book accurate Valyrian makeup look?

If the hold comes in first, I'll start the book and then continue reading the physical copy once it arrives. Then return the library copy as soon as I can so I'm not hogging it. (The wait list is over 1200 people right now)

I want to join in on the Sunrise on the Reaping hype, so I placed a hold for the book with my local library.
I also ordered the book because I was initially 700th in line for that hold.
Now Im'm 12th in line, and the book I bought is in transit to me.
It's officially a race now.

Most of the scenarios that I cosplay have some direct connection to her characterization in the books. (Apart from the joke posts which I try to make very obvious)
She wasn't angry braid lady all the time, my dudes.

The people hate it when you try to portray Visenya Targaryen as anything more than "angry sword wielding braid lady"

This fabric has been in my stash for 10 years, and today I learned that I HATE it. The texture is horrific and my sharpest needles can barely get through it.
But it drapes in such a lovely way. I just have to plan as few seams as possible.

5 rounds of chemo down, 1 to go.
I am so beyond ready to be done already.

It was a big weekend for my Visenya cosplay. I prepped a bunch of videos to get me through my next round of chemo and also did a collab with an amazing Rhaenys cosplayer. Very exciting stuff!

And now I have a cool scar and ✨️dental trauma✨️

The orthodontist ripped the same part of my lip every time he had to tighten my rubber bands or do surgery to bring the tooth in.
After 2 years of braces and 6 surgeries, they just extracted the tooth and did an implant.

For the first time in my life, I have a lip balm that actually keeps my lips moisturized.
The only problem is that having moisturized lips makes the scar from my braces and implant a lot more obvious.

Might be feeling well enough to get back into cosplay this weekend.
I just need to braid the Visenya war braid wig first.
And work out a bit to get my strength back.

My boyfriend's katana arrived today, and he sent me pictures of it this morning.
It looks SO FREAKING COOL.
I can't wait to see it in person when I am done with treatment and am able to visit him again.

It's just me and the 12 eyebrow hairs I have left against the world.

It feels like every bone in my legs and feet is broken.
Yet, there is nothing that can be done to manage the pain.
Love it.

I already know that tomorrow will most likely be the climax of the post-chemo pain.
It's going to be such a shit day.

I could access my tiktok again and immediately, I was greeted with more "Visenya is an evil userper" discourse in my comment section. Good to know nothing has changed while I was away.

And so the chemotherapy leg pain begins again.
Here is to a week of agony, lads.

I am bummed that Tiktok went dark while I was switching from my side project cosplay account to my main account. I got stuck on my cosplay account, but that wasn't the ship I wanted to go down with.

I had to move the icon so I wouldn't mindlessly tap it.

Watching this cosplay evolve over the last 2 years and slowly adding handmade costume pieces one by one has been such an amazing experience.

Now I'm frantically saving my posts and gritting my teeth while hitting upload on reels just to have the videos exist somewhere where people can find them. 🤢

Managing accounts for my 2 specific interests (visual kei and cosplay) is tiring.
My life was so much more simple when my cosplay/sewing things could just exist on Tiktok and that's it.

One thing I could not have anticipated during cancer treatment is that the standard blood sacrifice that is required by the sewing gods in the form of accidentally stabbing myself with a sewing needle takes a lot longer to heal.
