We should by doubly incensed, both at this contemptibly racist policy change at our public national parks, but also because such execrable actions are so unexceptional now - barely a year into this administration - that they barely merit a passing mention.

A few years ago, the Jamaican government made an unusual bet.

It went to investors around the world asking if they'd like to wager on the chances a major hurricane would hit the island in the next couple of years.

Would that bet pay off? And for whom?

One of the lessons I learned at UWM was that a unit’s financials were whatever leadership wanted them to be. Students could count toward credit hours or majors. Research could count through grant $ or PhDs produced. How they’d be weighted would determine the winners. Decision-based evidence making.

Redistricting’s jagged lines in Lafayette/West Lafayette Purdue, school districts and even neighborhoods get split in an effort Indiana House members admit is β€˜political gerrymandering.’ Plus, Lafayette Brewing Co. announces it will close. And more

Our IN state government caved to DC, threats, and swatting. HB 1032 splits Tippecanoe Co into 2 bizarre, block-by-block jigsaw districts designed to dilute the purple vote centered on the Lafayette area. Call your IN Senators and encourage them to vote no.

BREAKING: β€˜This hurts’: UNL eliminates 4 programs despite faculty, student pleas The University of Nebraska-Lincoln eliminates the Earth and atmospheric sciences 8-0, educational administration 7-1, statistics 7-1, textiles, merchandising and fashion design 7-1 programs.

β€œYou are ruining UNL’s national reputation permanently… If you eliminate the [Earth and Atmospheric Science] department, no one will recommend this college to their students with well-regarded programs in crisis unnecessarily.”

More chaos at FEMA as agency "re-suspends" employees it just reinstated last week Winter off to a roaring start in the Midwest and East as record cold moves in behind today's winter storm in the Northeast

FEMA "re-suspended" 14 "Katrina Doctrine" signatories after just last week seemingly concluding they were protected whistleblowers. As a former fed supervisor, I'm infuriated by how feds are being treated and how we are damaging our public safety agencies. More: https://tinyurl.com/3p3539xb

While I agree with your sentiment, military recruiters are gonna be everywhere: at school, sporting events, on TV, phone, social media etc. It’s my job to prepare my son to make an informed decision for himself about joining the armed forces when he’s old enough and recruiters come calling.

The characterization of scouting by Pβ€” Hβ€” in this article does not comport with reality.

Tragic vehicle accident takes an NWS office offline Looking at how the NWS offices back each other up. Severe weather and flash flooding in the south central US next couple of days.

A horrific accident early Saturday morning left a car in the side of an NWS office and the office relying on the NWS service backup system. Service backup is important in situations like this - but also is being increasingly used due to NWS staffing and infrastructure issues. tinyurl.com/4txuyhbz
