So many reasons to see this new production of Quiet in the Land at the Blyth Fesitval. The evergreen reason is how richly written the characters are; each with beautiful and troubled beating hearts. We as the audience begin the play as outsiders peering to this very private old order community.

📚London Fog is full of allusions to an eclectic array of literature and performance. The Count of Monte Cristo is pivotal in the action as the escape scene mirrors Peg Leg’s run from the law. The rage of King Lear and the manipulation in Macbeth radiate through the characters.
