And just announced a new production of Heartbreak House which delights my Shavian heart to no end.

I do wish their prices were lower, but I have loved the festival longer than their current pricing scheme and my loyalty will last longer than their current prices. Still worth the visit. There is the opportunity to see a remarkable production of Major Barbara this season.

Welcome to the order of GBS. If you make it to the Shaw Festival check the well hidden Todayโ€™s Deals page. Also the Seasonโ€™s Pass is a very good deal.

Ya no. Wikipedia editors are brutal with deleting local information and Indigenous information. It is an incredibly surface level. Try adding cited information to your town or cityโ€™s Wikipedia page, it will be deleted in hours.

Severn and the ensemble have found the full depth and power of this play. A special mention must be made of Randy Hughsonโ€™s extraordinary performance which culminates in divine and sorrowful final moments which left the theatre in suspended silence.

It is about a new generation with new ideas and the previous generation attempting to reconcile living together in a world that is neither the past nor the future but an ambivalent present.

By the end of the play we are fully emerged in the fraught geometry of their relationships. While the play renders a very specific moment in time and a very specific Amish community, at its core the play is about counterculture.

So many reasons to see this new production of Quiet in the Land at the Blyth Fesitval. The evergreen reason is how richly written the characters are; each with beautiful and troubled beating hearts. We as the audience begin the play as outsiders peering to this very private old order community.

If it is a freebie it better be a freebie for everyone. If the project is professional, it can only be called that if everyone is being compensated EQUITABLY.

I continue to be confounded, enraged and disheartened when I hear about early career artists being expected to work for less or no money, while other people on the same project are getting paid.

๐Ÿ“šLondon Fog is full of allusions to an eclectic array of literature and performance. The Count of Monte Cristo is pivotal in the action as the escape scene mirrors Peg Legโ€™s run from the law. The rage of King Lear and the manipulation in Macbeth radiate through the characters.
