This week, we had the honour of hosting Prof. Marcos Centeno! During his time at UHGS he gave a lecture on “Visual Memory, Erasure, and the Afterlives of Images from Hiroshima’s Peace Museum” as well as led an internal seminar. We are grateful for the discussions his visit inspired.

In recent years, several PhD dissertations have explored the Holocaust and its aftermath in Sweden. One standout: "Afterlives" by Victoria Van Orden Martínez (Linköping Univ, 2023).

Our colleague, Dr. Goran Miljan, will participate in a workshop dedicated to establishing a transnational partnership network in Jewish and Holocaust studies. The event, scheduled to take place in Belgrade from 16 to 19 June 2025, is organised by the Holocaust Research Institute at Royal Holloway.
