We concluded the second and final day of the workshop on Neutral Countries & Jewish Refugees during the Holocaust. Today featured the roundtable on Jewish refugee experiences in Sweden & panels on neutrality in Sweden, Turkey, Spain & Portugal.

Last week, our colleague Dr. Santiago López Rodríguez co-organized and presented at the international workshop "Victims and Bystanders: the Sephardi Jews and Spain during the Holocaust" at the University of Potsdam. His talk examined Franco, Salazar, and historiographical debates on neutrality.

Our colleague Dr. Ivo Plšek has been awarded a MIRAI/STINT Research Fellowship, a competitive Swedish–Japanese program supporting high-impact international research collaboration. In 2026 he will serve as a Visiting Researcher at Sophia University (Tokyo).
