I know it's not limited to Gundam, but affects all things considered "collectable".

My favorite thing about the Spider-Man scalping is all the people losing money on the collector booster box pricing crashing.

And they always post a picture of themselves walking out with a stack of product, too.

Like look at me, I'm taking advantage of and part of the problem of limited stock! It's not because I'm morally bankrupt, but because I'm THE champion of capitalism.

Just the most wild shit.

Just the conflation of work ethic to "figuring" out restock schedules, just to buy out product.

Thinking you're some hard working blue collar Joe because you paid off a 19yr Walmart employee to text you when restocks happen.

This brain dead logic just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm in one of the Gundam TCG facebook groups, and every once in a while you'll have someone post about not being able to find anything, and being disappointed in Bandai's lack of printing.

And then you'll have the scalper reply guy saying you're not finding product because you're just lazy.

Fun fact btw: all twelve decks I brought with me to film this cost about $1300 when totaled together.

That's generally gonna be the price of about two Modern decks.

Which would you rather have: twelve Pauper decks or two Modern ones? 🤔

Got the LR+ of one of the Seed Gundams and it’s basically the same value as the Urza’s Saga.

Now I have enough to put the GP deck im putting together work a little better.

Event starts, single elimination only 8 ppl so we all get 2 boosters and promos. I lose lol. But I’m able to get 4 more packs with my credit. I’ve legit only opened 8 boosters because I can’t find it anywhere.

The guy I played ended up giving me what he opened which was super nice of him.

Legit good dude he hooked it up last time, too.

He comes back at $155, 60% on trade but they’re got an Urza’s Saga and Chrome Mox I don’t need but would like to have. I countered with 70 trade and initially he said he could do 65. But, dude’s awesome and said he’d do 70 since I’ve been there before and he wants me to come back.

I really like this store, the owner is the one that had the Zeon Assemble kits I picked up over the summer.

We do a trade, 3x Scapeshift 2x Urborg. I priced them differently than he did but eh he’s a store.

Last night was fun.

Hr drive to a store for the st05 event. I’m waitlisted, but it get confirmed that someone isn’t coming.

Look through singles finally find the Princess Sarah (Azusa) I needed.

Owner lets us pick decks before (not pre-opening or anything like that) the event starts.

Played a version of a GP Breach Suppression deck from JPN, swapped some cards around because I still need 1 more ST-05 which I should be getting from a sealed event tonight.

I'm going to try it next week with the mobile worker instead of the GD-01 Zaku II

Round 3 was with one of the people I'd talked to between rounds, nice guy. Lost to him and his RW Zaft deck, which was cool, I didn't see it last time I was here.

We talked magic a bit and GUNPLA, I'd shown him the minis I'd painted recently.

Round 4 I got the bye to finish 2-2.

Talked to some people between matches, everyone was super nice. Sadly no one had any spare ST-01 Gundams.

I'll have to look around online or hope to find some ST-01 starters somewhere.

My buddy Brandon stopped by and I got to meet his GF for the 1st time.

I said yeah, the bigger one, but that wasn't that one. But, you gotta do you. Good games.

IDK, I don't get that kind of player mindset. I guess that's why I'm bad at this game? If I see the opening I'm just going to go for it. I don't have interaction for blockers, so what else am I to do?

As I was telling him he didn't need to play like that I bit my tongue really hard and that snapped me back from the salt I was feeling.

Just doesn't make sense, if you can win, just get the win don't slow roll a win.

Then he made a comment about needing to watch out for Shenlong.

G2: Blockers, lost. it's a tough match up for me. Guy had 3-4 units on board, killed my baby Shenlong hit my base then passed with two still standing?

I played a Rick Dom with a Wu Fei and passed and then he just killed me anyway.

2nd ever local last night went.. interesting.

G1 I played against a guy I sold a card to before I was able to play the game, and won!

I'm not playing, but maybe I'll be able to pick up the last few things I need for my decks.
