The knee saga! (This column I think owes a bit in tone to the great Tony Hancock):

Shelter from the storm of Africa At the southern Italian port of Brindisi, I bought a map of Africa and set off on the trip of my life, which felt like a long-running Bob Dylan song.

Loved this piece from @peterfitz1.bsky.social and the way he bounces between his own adventure and Bob Dylan. Lovely writing.

Ep 43 - Paul Barry farewell - Media Watch After 11 and half years Paul Barry presents his final Media Watch and look backs on his role with the program which first started in the year 2000, when he was sacked and the program shut down.

Great valedictory at the end of a monumental innings. @TheRealPBarry has been a brave and brilliant host of Media Watch, a very Australian institution.

Unplugged from radio, I have big plans for retirement This time next week, Iโ€™ll be a man of leisure. One who golfs, and reads the Odyssey.

Big fan of @richardglover1.bsky.social on the radio. He will be so missed but thank god he will still be writing his columns. This one had me laughing out loud.

Itโ€™s so hard to get that radio slot right. Sarah Mac did it, with the right mix of serious and humour, personal warmth and solid journalistic and news cred. Present of mind and equal to anyone she interviewed. Loved by her listeners. I too am baffled by the decision to sack her.
