08.08.2025 05:48 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0You had to pull me into this didn't you! I asked it to write an algorithm to count out the b's leetcode style and it corrected itself! The second part is kind of weird tho
08.08.2025 05:42 — 👍 5 🔁 1 💬 3 📌 0True - *I* am reasoning about the problem and telling it what code I want written. As far as giving me poop, that could be the case but you haven't seen it and I would love it if you *could* see it and enlighten me. You could change my mind ya know.
05.08.2025 21:38 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0That's so interesting - I keep thinking I've never seen that before but then I must have as it doesn't seem all that outlandish. Plus it's great for the flow of light.
05.08.2025 19:18 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Why not?
05.08.2025 19:16 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0What I'm really after with this project is dredging up "crap code". 99% of this was created by my direction, and I've reviewed and found it to be pretty solid. That said - if you dislike AI in general - now's your chance to skewer me (/cc @fransbouma.com... it's data access... right up your alley!)
05.08.2025 18:31 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I do understand that it's all probability under the hood, and that I shouldn't trust the output - which is actually something I found compelling and useful. I don't feel like I wasted my time because I learned some very useful Go concepts (protobuf too!).
05.08.2025 18:08 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I goofed off with Claude Code this weekend to see how hard it would be to turn SQLite into a document database with a MongoDB API. It took 3 tries but I think something fun came of it - throw daggers at it if you like: github.com/robconery/gadz

01.08.2025 17:27 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Need help prompting? I made a fun thing with @aaronw.dev
that works like "gi" for gitignore, but with prompts. Need a react component and don't know the prompt? Try "peep react-component" in your CLI:

Looks like that’s the extent of it. Small surges out with now waves, small surges in with slightly more wave activity. Thankfully looks like it’s not getting bigger.guess I’ll sign off…

30.07.2025 05:37 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0So far so good. Nothing happening aside from a few clowns walking the beach
30.07.2025 05:30 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Lots of boats out in the water getting clear of the marinas.
30.07.2025 05:09 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0So here’s what things look like now. We’ll see if anything changes in 9 minutes
30.07.2025 05:08 — 👍 5 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0I suppose you could liken it to the videos you see of an atomic blast. That shock wave is the air being compressed in a pressure wave. Then comes the vacuum and wind. I *think* a tsunami is kind of like that shockwave.
30.07.2025 03:44 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I remember studying this at university for my geology degree. Professor explained it was pulse energy - a pressure differential made the force horizontal. Typical wave energy is sinusoidal, which is changes in vertical energy. At least I think that's what they said... I might have been asleep...
30.07.2025 03:42 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Yeah it's totally gridlocked where I am (Kaka'ako). Ala Moana blvd is at a standstill. Hope your daughter stays safe - I think it'll be OK. We're on the lee of the direct energy which does help.
30.07.2025 03:36 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It'll be an interesting sunset tonight here in Honolulu, with light winds, some high clouds and a tsunami. I live in a big building with a small view of the coast and the first wave is supposed to hit here in just over 2 hours. I'll post pictures.

26.07.2025 06:05 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It's super inefficient (and expensive) to have an LLM work on your data and files (CSV, markdown, whatever) directly. Have it create a script for you instead. I made a video about "compiling" markdown to one of @adamwathan.com's new Tailwind templates this way:
thenext.dev/blog/creatin...
I have found that a *much* better route to go down is "write a script that does this basic thing with the data" and it will write something much better. Bash, Node, Python - whatever.
