04.08.2025 23:42 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The same Animal Crossing character stands on a grassy patch near a river, surrounded by trees, watching vibrant fireworks in red, blue, and orange with green centers. The sky is dark with stars, and the in-game clock shows 7:48 PM on Sunday, August 3rd, with the island minimap visible in the lower right corner.
A character from Animal Crossing, wearing a green outfit and glowing blue antenna headband, sits on a grassy ledge under a night sky, watching colorful fireworks in the shapes of a cube and a red heart. The time is 7:50 PM on Sunday, August 3rd, with a minimap of the island displayed in the bottom right corner.
Havenโt opened animal crossing for a bit but Iโm so glad I did today. Itโs a fireworks show on my island! And you can see some custom designs (like my book cover) turned into fireworks!
I remember why I was so utterly charmed by this game in the first place
Oh no! Hope you're doing okay and that things heal quickly!
04.08.2025 01:15 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0OMG, @pui.bsky.social and I tried to come but you weren't open yet, lol. We'll make it to the next one!

BUT STILL
Close-up of a vintage Oliver typewriter with an olive green metal body and raised typebars arranged in an inverted โUโ shape on both sides. The keys are round with white tops and black letters, including labels like โFIGโ and โCAPโ on the sides. The front reads โThe OLIVER STANDARD VISIBLE WRITER.โ The typewriter sits on a wooden shelf among colorful glassware and other vintage items.
Itโs hard to express how much willpower it took me not to buy this 120-ish year old typewriter from an antique shop in Andersonville (Chicago) today. It was only $225!

The park is busy with people and surrounded by trees and tall buildings in the background.
A close-up view of the historic green ornamental clock mounted on the corner of a building, displaying Roman numerals with the time at approximately 5:39. Behind the clock, modern glass skyscrapers and a faint airplane in the sky are visible.

Hello from Chicago! Havenโt been here for a minute. Excited to show @pui.bsky.social some of my old haunts

24.07.2025 06:43 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It looks like the Unoppressive Non-Imperialist Bargain Books in Greenwich VIllage closed a few years ago, which is a shame! Was gonna recommend that. A friend of mine really likes The Nonbinarian in Brooklyn, though โ I think that's still going!

One of the (many!) endearing things about my (formerly) neighorhood branches of my public library is that sometimes, the subject line refers to their emails as an "eBlast" like it's 2006. *mwah*

If Hormbles chormble Chormbles, Hormbles should share Chormbles for all Hormbles to chormble.

Two people sit on a grassy hill under scattered shade in a park, facing a panoramic view of San Franciscoโs city skyline under a bright blue sky. The park, filled with palm trees and people lounging on the lawn, features a white building with a clock tower and a red staircase structure in the foreground. Fallen leaves are scattered on the grass and sidewalk in the foreground.
Had a little time to kill before dinner, so I wandered into Dolores Park.
Itโs so easy to forget, between work, errands and the drama of the news, that I live in one of the most beautiful cities on earth.
A man wearing glasses and a tan jacket makes a comically exaggerated grimace while holding an oversized pair of novelty scissors with blue handles and large silver blades. He is indoors in an office setting with a ceiling of acoustic tiles and fluorescent lighting, and a mesh-back office chair is visible in the background.
In case you were ever wondering, ribbon cutting scissors are real-ass scissors and can cut paper. And presumably fingers.
