Inconsistent electronic/noise/misc musician in Exeter, UK circuitously via Chicago. I do other things too but I'm mainly here to talk about music. My music lives here: https://moonatlasrecords.com No DMs. I haven't age-verified.
I mean see their faces beyond the usual press photos.
06.12.2025 10:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The full interview was really interesting, thanks. I'm glad he went with a video. I get that electronic music tends towards anonymity, but it's nice every once in a while to see an artist's face and hear their voice.
06.12.2025 10:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Oooh that's nice, thanks
06.12.2025 01:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0BTW I realise this is worded for me in my 40's. If you're younger and want to say 3AM or 7AM or 1PM or whatever, that's fine.
06.12.2025 01:29 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's no contest for me.

It's after 1AM. You know you should go to bed. Instead, you decide to put on one more song. What is it?
06.12.2025 01:20 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 5 π 0Ah, I seem to have bought quite a lot of other people's music today so I'm hoping to sell a couple of mine to make some back. Thanks for listening xx
05.12.2025 17:38 β π 7 π 4 π¬ 0 π 0Update: my wife, who sits approximately directly below my office subwoofer when working, does NOT appreciate Seefeel time.
05.12.2025 17:00 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That torrential downpour and general gloom outside can only mean one thing: it's Seefeel time.
05.12.2025 16:12 β π 13 π 1 π¬ 1 π 1"Eggshell" is sounding amazing here.
05.12.2025 14:43 β π 6 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah it seems particularly heavy this time around, doesn't it?
05.12.2025 13:14 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Admittedly, the suspense does not appear to be killing me.

05.12.2025 10:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Last bandcamp friday of the year! A great excuse to do some music appreciating, both on and off that website.
If you're in need of something to grip (he says knowing that's not true), Hoodwinks released an album since that last one. Maybe give it a stream!

Well, it's the last #BandcampFriday of 2025. I only released one thing this year but it took a few years to make, so cut me some slack. Much more to come in 2026.
In the meantime, if you haven't heard this yet, may I humbly request an hour of your time to go on a weird little dismal journey w/ me?

It's pretty rare that I have something of my own to crow about on #BandcampFriday. Normally talk about other people's music. But this came out this week. Shortish EP of live versions and improvisations around the Set the Weather Fair era material.

I had two releases on the excellent @room40.bsky.social this year.
Give them a listen if you haven't already.

It's Bandcamp Friday, which means I should promote the album I put out a few months ago

In my experience at least, it was a much better read as an adult.

04.12.2025 16:58 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just for fun:
"Repetition is a human invention.
Nature rarely repeats itself.
Yet, we repeat the same facts over and over.
Generative AI facts change every time you request them.
What if generative AI facts end up feeling more NATURAL than the static facts of today?"
And humans look for familiarity in culture at least some of the time. We've been telling the same fables to children for ages. We celebrate familiar plays from ancient Greece, through to Shakespeare, and into modern times. Etc. Traditional music & dance is pervasive.
04.12.2025 14:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also the premise that nature rarely repeats itself is hokum. DNA has repeating elements. Insect bodies have repeating segments. Molecular dynamics can include oscillating patterns. Pulsars and geysers are predictable. Fractals, everywhere in nature, are arguably a form of repetition as well.
04.12.2025 14:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Some albums (and other things) I really liked from this year. Now with extra helpful descriptions of what they sound like: blogaboutsatan.blogspot.com/2025/12/favo...

No UK pedestrian crossing is complete without a huge caravan or utility vehicle semi-permanently parked next to it so you need to step into the middle of the road to see around it and check if you're about to be run over by a car.

Exeter (UK) or nearby people! Gig alert!
I'm playing at 12 Bar on December 5th with Posies. I'll be debuting a new sound in a new set using a new setup with some untraditional gear. It's going to be good.

Here's a little preview of the kind of thing I'll be doing with my current DAWless setup live at 12 Bar this Friday. I'll never be able to replicate this exact bit, but there will be new ephemeral moments to experience on Friday.
