A lot of European countries are doing it to save time and money. I'm doing it. If Microsoft and Google disappeared tomorrow, it might be an inconvenience but that's all.

Seriously? What about the will of the public? He was duly elected, charged, stood trial and found innocent and yet resigned anyway.

How much more power do you want? If voters want someone and the court says he's innocent, that in a democracy, that's the end of it.

Even though it's bad news, it's good to know about it.

Creating the illusion of a democratic process is not a democratic process. It de-legitimizes the victor and everything he or she does.

I saw Guernica. It was smaller than I imagined it to be, but what a great painting! It's amazing to be standing in front of it.

I saw a Rembrant self portrait up close once that blew me away. I don't know which one it was. His 'nose' was a single brush stroke loaded with at least three paints (colors).

The other was a Vermeer still life of fruits. The grapes were translucent. I could see the condensation on them. Uncanny.
